NTRANEXAMIC (ENCAPSULATED TRANEXAMIC ACID)

NTRANEXAMIC (ENCAPSULATED TRANEXAMIC ACID) has tranexamic acid nanoencapsulated indicated for whitening of skin hyperpigmentation's, spot and melasma.
The use of nanocarriers in topical formulations constitutes a promising strategy to improve the efficacy of cosmetic treatments and skin diseases. The active ingredient nanoencapsulation protects the encapsulated active against degradation. Improves the skin penetration of the active, thus increasing its efficacy. TRANEXAMIC has a medium size of 200nm and allows a gradual and prolonged release of the encapsulates actives, reducing skin sensitivity.
Clinical studies performed demonstrate positive results as for the levels of melanin after TXA application in melasma treatment. Kanechorn and contributors (2012) evaluated the efficacy of TXA 5% application, twice a day, for 12 weeks, in which they observed a decrease in melanin index in the application area, in 78.2% of patients. In a similar study performed by Kim and contributors (2016), the acid application at 2% had satisfactory results to describes a significant decrease on melanin content in epidermis in 22 of the 23 patients. Na and contributors (2012) also evaluate the application of an topical agent with TXA 2%, twice a day, for 8 weeks, to investigate the effects in a lesioned epidermis, describing a decrease in the pigmentation, number of blood vessels and mastocytes count. In comparative studies, in front of other commonly used agents for hyperpigmentation's treatment, such as hydroquinone and dexamethasone, TXA still proved to be an effective and safe alternative.
It has excellent whitening activity in the treatment of melasma, due to its ability to inhibit melanin biosynthesis by inhibiting the plasminogen/plasmin pathway, blocking the interaction between melanocytes and keratinocytes.
